Every piece I build is made to order. There's no stock size or off-the-shelf version of this chest. What you see here is a six-drawer configuration built tall and narrow to slot into a closet nook, bedroom corner, or hallway, but it's a starting point, not a fixed spec. Dimensions, drawer count, and finish are all built around your space.

Crafted entirely from aromatic red cedar, the same wood used in traditional cedar chests, prized for its natural moth-repelling scent and that distinctive rosy, purple-streaked grain that no two boards share. The lighter, honey-toned cedar on the sides is left exposed for contrast against the deeper heartwood on the drawer faces.

Each drawer front is fitted with a hand-carved finger-pull cutout instead of applied hardware, keeping the lines clean and letting the wood grain do the talking. Drawers run on soft-close, full-extension slides, so even the bottom drawer opens easily and closes quietly, with no slamming and no hardware to catch on clothing.
